I am originally from the Republic of Belarus. I began my journey as an artist at the ripe young age of 3-4. After obtaining a four year degree in 3D design from Vitebsk State Technological University as well as a degree in Graphic Design from Vitebsk State College of Art I left home for an uncertain future in the United States. Fortunately for me I ended up on the island the same day I landed in Boston. After a series of different odd-jobs, a short stint in Fort Myers, and a few turbulent years, painting all the way through, I settled as designer and assistant to Melisa Patterson, owner and operator of About Signs and Designs in West Tisbury.
Martha's Vineyard is my inspiration, through my paintings I am able to wander around this beautiful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. With my imagination as my guide, I take what I see on this amazing island and make it my own. I try not to constrain myself to the rules or colors of reality. I aim to show the beauty of this world through my own interpretation of color. It is the bold and vibrant colors, packed with their emotionally charged energy, that lift me and move me in the direction that I need to go.
